Sports Camp

 

The Orland Park Sportsplex Health and Fitness facility is currently seeking an energetic, responsible and enthusiastic individual who enjoys sports to run the daily programming for this year's Summer Sports Camp.

 

This state of the art facility features a large fitness center, basketball/volleyball courts, and soccer fields, which demonstrate only a portion of the healthy programming available to young participants.  As a Summer Sports Camp Instructor, you can make a difference in their health & fitness experience! 

Key Responsibilities

This position is responsible for teaching children the fundamentals of athletic programs by leading sports activities including basketball, soccer and floor hockey among other activities.  

 

In this role you will have an opportunity to work with camp participants ranging in age from 8 to 13, aiding in their development of good sportsmanship, teamwork, and improving overall physical fitness while creating a fun, positive and memorable athletic experience.

Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills

A High School diploma is required and at least one (1) year of other closely related recreational and/or sports programming and sports fundamentals.

 

The ideal candidate must be energetic, enthusiastic and enjoy working with children. Prior high school or higher level direct sports participation is highly preferred.

 

Must be available from Early-June to early August. Approximately 15-20 hours per week.  Sportscamp program hours are Tuesday and Thursday generally from 8:00am to 4:00pm.
