The Voyagers Program Coordinator will develop, plan, implement, and evaluate program activities including special events to meet program needs. This position will coordinate all staffing needs and provide direct supervision of 7 - 10 daycamp counselors and indirect supervision of inclusion staff. Staffing responsibilities include evaluation of staff in addition to staff motivation and encouragement of creative idea sharing that focuses on continual improvement of programming.
This position will regularly communicate with parents and program participants. Also responsible to oversee administrative function including timesheets, registration, scheduling, calendars, and expenditures including purchasing supplies/equipment/inventory within budgetary guidelines.
High school diploma is required. An associate or bachelor’s degree in related field is preferred. A minimum of 2-5 years of related experience in recreation/education field. A minimum of 2 years of related supervisory experience is required. Excellent communication skills, organizational skills, and passion for working with school age children grades 5 - 7 is required. Must be proficient with Microsoft Office. A valid driver's license is required. CPR/AED/FA certifications are required.
This position must be available to work approximately 35-38 hrs/wk throughout the summer programming season April through mid-August. Minimal weekly planning hours in off months, up to 10 hours per month, September through March. Must be available to work from 8:00am to 4:00pm Monday through Friday.
