Opportunity at a Glance

The Village of Orland Park’s fast paced Recreation Department seeks to fill a part-time Service Clerk position responsible for providing clerical support at the Recreation Administrative and Sportsplex offices.

 

Key Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities will be to coordinate and perform clerical duties which support the sale and renewal of Sportsplex memberships including processing program registrations, facility rentals and contracts.   Additional duties consist of completing clerical tasks, answering telephones, greeting visitors and assisting with special events.

Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills

Must be a high school graduate or equivalent with 1-3 years of related office/customer service experience. Strong math, cash handling, customer service and computer skills in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and Access are required along with the ability to operate general office equipment.  Solid organizational, communication and interpersonal skills are a must along with exceptional attention to detail. 

 

Position hours and location vary including some weekdays and evenings along with rotational Saturdays.  Availability needed varies between weekdays 8:00am and 6:15pm and 8:30am to 12:45pm Saturday morning shifts.   Schedule to be determined and varies each week.  Generally scheduled 15-19 hours per week.
