The Village of Orland seeks a responsible, sports/fitness minded individual to serve as the supervisor on duty in the absence of a full-time manager ensuring consistency with policy, procedures, and customer service guidelines.  This position is ideal for an individual who is working towards the completion of a 4-year degree in Recreation, Sports Management or other directly related field.  

Key Responsibilities

Responsibilities include supervising operations, addressing inconsistencies in operational procedures, responding to customer concerns, initiating emergency responses, administering CPR/First Aid, maintaining general upkeep of the facility, setting up/tearing down for programs as needed, and opening and closing of the facility.

Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills

Bachelor’s degree in Recreation, Sports Management or other directly related field is preferred.  Prior related customer service experience required.  Previous staff supervision required. CPR/First Aid certification preferred, required within 90 days of hire.  Must be available Monday through Friday with open availability for various shifts including opening and/or closing shifts during operational hours 5:00AM to 10:00PM.  Must also have flexible weekend availability.  Approximately 15 – 19 hours per week.
